Yenice:

It is the most eastern district of Canakkale.

History:

Yenice was a village in Balıkesir until 1936. After this date it was bound to Çanakkale. Although it was bound to Çanakkale, it has more intense relationship with Balıkesir.

Location:

In the southeastern of Çanakkale, Biga on the east and north with south and Can Balıkesir districts in the west district is surrounded by Bayramiç.

Population:

Center population of 6.917, town and village population of 30.910, the total population of 37.827 has Yenice.

Transportation:

From the bus station in the center to the Çanakkale-Yenice any time of day is there the possibility of transport. Railways and air ways of the town is not affiliated with. There is no seaway because Yenice has not a coast.

Distance to City Center:

Yenice is an important station between Canakkale- Balıkesir. The distance from Canakkale to Yenice is 100 km.

What to See:

Due to the fact that county is in the foothills of the mountain goose,there are many picnic area. Besides you can also join eco-tourism and hunting tourism.

Accommodation:

Except the 3-star tourist hotel in Kalkım, in county are there municipal and private total of 5 hotels.  A total bed capacity of hotels is over 200.
